A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT CONTENT
The aim of the project is to promote more efficient energy use and rational energy management in municipal institution(s), including:
- 100% in renovation and improvement of municipally-owned building(s) for energy efficiency and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from fossil fuels
- greater use of renewable energy sources
The professional-technical content of the project:
a) Improving the energy efficiency of municipally-owned buildings by modernising their external envelopes - Improving the thermal performance of buildings - External insulation and replacement of windows and doors in 2 buildings
(d) Construction of a small power plant of maximum household size (SMPS) photovoltaic system to meet its own electricity demand: - supply and installation of solar panels and their supporting elements; reinforcement of the roof structure's load-bearing elements concerned, based on a structural analysis; elements necessary for connection to the local electricity system and to the grid (e.g. purchase of grid upgrades and their installation costs, which are essential for internal connection; devices for measuring and recording the electricity generated - installation of a 4.5 kW solar panel system on the two buildings.
Optional activities not eligible on their own
h) Modernisation, replacement of fossil fuel based heat generating equipment and/or upgrading of the associated heating and DHW systems - Heating modernisation of the two buildings.

Project results: the municipality has 2 CC certified buildings after the renovation.
